The Wessex region has unveiled a new tool designed to accelerate healthcare innovation: the Wessex Healthtech Innovation Support Digital Map, now live here.
Developed by the Southampton Emerging Therapies and Technologies (SETT) Centre at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, in collaboration with Blue Donut Studios, this interactive resource provides a comprehensive view of the region’s health innovation ecosystem.
The aim of the map is to connect innovators, researchers, clinicians and industry partners with the support they need to develop, test, and scale new technologies. It brings together information on regional assets, expertise and infrastructure. This includes funding pathways, regulatory guidance, clinical trial facilities, secure data environments and innovation hubs.
Users can browse by theme, search and filter for specific needs, and visually explore clusters of activity to identify potential collaborators or gaps in provision. Each node links to detailed information including contact points, service descriptions and case studies.
