University of Southampton Science Park has appointed Christine McGrath as a Non-Executive Director, bringing extensive experience in health research, partnership development and regional economic growth to the board.
Christine is Managing Director of Wessex Health Partners, where she leads collaboration between NHS organisations, universities and innovation partners to accelerate research, education and innovation across the region.
With a career spanning clinical research, strategy, partnerships and senior system leadership, Christine is widely recognised for her ability to build successful collaborations which deliver real-world impact.
Her appointment further strengthens the board's expertise in innovation-led growth and cross-sector partnership working as the Science Park continues to support ambitious businesses and emerging technologies.

Christine's appointment was approved by the Board in July 2026 for an initial three-year term.
Southampton Science Park, located in Chilworth, is home to a thriving ecosystem of around 100 scientific, technical and entrepreneurial companies ranging from start-ups and spinouts to global leaders. These companies employ over 1,000 people and contribute more than £500 million in Gross Value Added to the local economy.
The Park is currently building Infinity Labs, a £16 million investment which will deliver vital laboratory space to support scientific discovery and equip the south central economy for further growth and enterprise.
