NHS England is continuing to develop the National Secure Data Environment (SDE) - enabling approved users to access and analyse NHS data within a secure, controlled setting. This approach strengthens patient confidentiality while supporting faster, more impactful research, population health insight, and service improvement.
To support adoption, we’re hosting a webinar on 1 July at 10am, featuring speakers from across the National SDE programme, including Liz Gaffney (Head of Service) and colleagues from the NHSE Data Access & Partnerships team.
Join us to:
• Hear the vision and priorities for the SDE as the default route for NHS data access
• Understand how we deliver secure, governed access to de identified data
• Explore current datasets, capabilities, and access pathways - and what’s coming next
• Get an overview of the SDE roadmap, including new functionality and datasets
• Share your feedback, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
Who should attend:
• Researchers, analysts, and data scientists (commercial, pharma, academia)
• Current SDE users interested in future developments and datasets
• Prospective users wanting to understand secure access to NHS data
• Organisations currently using data extracts looking to transition to the SDE
